Virginia Atkison Child Development Center is currently working on revamping our infant and toddler playgrounds. We are trying to recycle and reuse found items. Here are some of the items that we can use for our projects. If you have any of these items that you would like to get rid of, we would appreciate the donation. Walnut Ridge Child Development Center enjoyed celebrating Grandparent’s Day on Monday, September 11, 2017. Each classroom had their own activity for the children to do with their Grandparent. We would like to thank all the Grandparents that were able to come by and see us!
The Friendly Forrest Friends at Walnut Ridge Early Child Development Center remembers those lost on September 11, 2001.
The Mighty Monkeys at CCDC enjoyed a fun experience of making homemade play-dough. The children learned what a recipe is and how to follow it. They mixed the ingredients, and talked about what each one felt like. They added food coloring to make their play-dough red and then they added their homemade play-dough to their art center to play with during free choice times.
The Mighty Monkeys would like to give a huge thank you to Mac Lunsford and Tonya Jane Lunsford for giving us the bird for our class pet. We have enjoyed getting to know the bird and learning how to take care of him. We are happy to announce he officially has a name!! We discussed the importance of a name, and then let the children
Ms. Kayla’s Happy Hippos enjoy showing off their self-portrait they completed as a homework activity. We hope their parents enjoyed this experience as well. We are looking forward to seeing more of the activities as they are returned.
