Remembering Ms. Ruby

We are sad to announce the passing of Ms. Ruby Killian. Ms. Ruby has been part of our family since 1983. She worked as a family service worker up until her illness.

Ms. Ruby was a passionate and committed advocate for young children, tirelessly working to ensure that they had appropriate support in order to allow them to succeed in school and in life. She was a naturally caring and nurturing figure not only in the lives of the children and families with whom she worked, but also for her colleagues for whom she remained a model of professionalism, excellence, and joy in the workplace.

Walnut Ridge Child Development Center and Walnut Ridge Early Child Development Center will be closed Thursday, January 11 until 12:30 to allow staff to pay their respects to their friend.

We offer our condolences to her friends, family, and the students who will miss her.
